Depero New Depero, Hardback Book

Depero New Depero Hardback

Hardback

Description

Fortunato Depero, a main figure of the Futurist movement, was able to create a total art form, ranging from painting to theatre, from scenography to applied arts, from publishing to advertising.

This book explores the topicality of the artist’s experiments and the influences of his research in the fields of art, fashion and design from the seventies to today, showing how prophetic his vision has been. In the resulting narration, the artist’s story is intertwined with that of the Mart Museum in Rovereto (Trento, Italy), which played a central role in enhancing his work. Presented in these pages are about 500 works including paintings, drawings, posters, photographs, books and magazines, furniture and objects – among which the famous Campari products – as well as a dozen videos and films made over the last 20 years. Texts by: Nicoletta Boschiero; Essays by: Paolo Cavallo, Duccio Dogheria, Massimo Giacon, Leonardo Sonnoli, Serena Aldi, Marco Drago, Federico Zanoner, Mariarosa Mariech, Annalisa Casagranda, Barbara Ferriani, and Katia Brida. Text in English and Italian.
