Description

Dan's writing has always dealt with history, the pursuit of happiness and truth, philosophy, love, war, the future, of politics, dreams or nightmares and the great issues of the human condition which call through his heart, mind and soul. This collection was put together for a reason - for just cause. He has long spoken of "the problem" - the human community of this world is not progressing in a positive, healthy direction, overall. It can be said that humanity is devouring itself as well as the world upon which it should be thriving. Because much of our troubles are human made, it is time for corrective measures, reconciliation, restitution and a redress of grievances great and small.

Some poems illuminate what we, as a people, a global community, stand to win should we make the changes needed, "Good News." Others portray issues, "Faux News" or the consequences of inaction, "Gone." and "Long After Time." In the concluding section, "Beating Around the Bush," Dan models how "We, the people ..." can impact anyone of our 1% with a set of suggestions applicable to the royal foil, Mr. G. W. Bush. Dan only speaks for his own nation's role in "the problem" knowing few peoples are innocent and that everyone can gain from true change.
