Description

Eleanor Shaw and the Tempest Rescue is set on an island to the north of Scotland and follows the adventures of a young girl after her father Tom is abducted and she sets out to find him. Eleanor Shaw and her best friend Iona are introduced to the reader on their home island. Both keen horse riders, they race to Eleanor's house which is home to numerous gadgets installed by her father, who we learn works for MI6. Eleanor, Hazel, Ben and Eleanor's Aaron and Connie go to meet Tom coming off the boat from the mainland and it's there the readers meet two new characters: Victoria Fawn and Patrick Buxton who are colleagues of Tom and have come to the island. As they leave the harbour we meet an important addition to the story: Alex Winters. She meets them on the bus and strikes up a conversation - small but significant.
