Pontolong and Duckie, Hardback Book

Pontolong and Duckie Hardback

Illustrated by Michael Robert Verrett

Part of the Pontolong and Duckie series

Hardback

Description

Pontolong and her pet duck, Duckie are known throughout the French Quarter of New Orleans. Everywhere Pontolong goes she carries her tennis racket and Duckie is at her side. Today the two set out to face the Marie Laboheme in a tennis match to determine the new tennis princess of New Orleans. Along the way friends warn her that Marie uses voodoo in order to win. Pontolong is unworried because she has her lucky Duckie with her. A sudden storm sweeps Duckie down a sewer and a grieving Pontolong must now face Marie Laboheme alone. Meanwhile, Duckie floats through the underground sewers. Along the way he meets Tookie and Stanley, two helpful rats. Can the lost duck survive the underground vortex of death and arrive in time to aid Pontolong?  Can Pontolong win even after Marie resorts to voodoo. What can a bootle of hot sauce do against dark magic?
