IV. (bri tish Museum), since this Ms. Offers the greatest abundance of architectural drawings.

Yet I have not hesitated to make use of drawings to be found in other illuminated Mss.

Of this period in the British Museum, as may be seen from the frequent references to Tiberius C.

VI., Cleopatra C. VIII, Julius A. VI., and Harleiana 603. Such references are used, however, only when a particular cut in one of the latter is unquestionably superior to any in Clan.
