Seven Principles of Doing Live Therapy Demonstrations, Paperback / softback Book

Seven Principles of Doing Live Therapy Demonstrations Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

In this book, Windy Dryden focuses on the seven principles that  underpin the live therapy demonstrations that he does in front of live and online audiences. Beginning with the multi-purposive nature of doing these sessions, Professor Dryden discusses the context of these sessions and the three frameworks that guide his therapeutic work while conducting them. He then takes a process view of his work, arguing that it is important to begin well and co-create a focus  that will facilitate understanding of the volunteer's nominated problem. Such understanding guides the search for a solution that is at the heart of the process. Once a solution has been selected by the volunteer, rehearsed and an implementation plan developed, Professor Dryden argues that it is important to end these demonstration sessions on a good note.

Also included in this book are the transcripts of two live therapy demonstrations given by Windy Dryden with his accompanying commentary..
