Description

My storm chasing/interest in photography began back around the time my daughter was born (2008) and I started chasing storms about 7 years ago. It's hard to describe why I'm drawn to weather and storms, it's just what I've known my whole life. When I was little I would watch storms with my dad on the patio and grew up learning about them. It wasn't until later in life that I really got interested in storm photography and started learning more about it and things exploded from there.

After my daughter was born I started my journey into portrait photography and eventually weddings, of which I shoot about 30 a year. But at the same time, I was getting into storm photography as well. We sold our entire DVD collection to help pay for a Canon Rebel, my first DSLR. From there things grew into chasing storms further and further from home, more and more miles, and even progressed into chasing tornadoes on the plains.
