Description

Documentary about the legendary footballer George Best, directed by Daniel Gordon.

From humble beginnings as a young boy in Belfast, Best rose to become one of the greatest footballers of his generation.

While still in his early twenties, Best reached the milestones most footballers can only dream of, winning both the European Cup and the Ballon d'Or in 1968.

Unfortunately, before long, he began falling from those lofty heights down to crushing lows.

His alcoholism corrupted his immeasurable talents and eventually killed him.

The full, moving tale is told through recordings of the man himself and first-hand accounts from those who knew him best: his family, his friends and fellow sportsmen.
