Thirty Years in Forced Labor Camps : Memoir of a Survivor, Paperback / softback Book

Thirty Years in Forced Labor Camps : Memoir of a Survivor Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

The author graduated from prestigious Yenching University in China.

He was a public servant in the Department of Treasury under the Chinese Nationalist rule.

After being retained in 1949 by the Chinese Communists, he was later convicted and sentenced to 12 years in prison with a groundless charge in the Anti-counterrevolutionaries Campaign in 1951.

Having endured unimaginable ordeals and terrors in prison, he was forced to volunteer to stay in the labor camp after his release.

He was exonerated in 1982 and started to write his miserable experiences at the age of 76 to expose the evils in the campaign after the Tiananmen Massacre in 1989.

The memoir records the life in the forced labor camp and facts in the political campaigns, which will provide evidences and details for that part of the history.
