Description
Other than the author's creative poetry book, her dedication to society having a pantry and outreach ministry that is dedicated to helping young single parents by providing them with the essentials such as diapers, wipes, clothing, breast pumps, blankets, and other non-perishable items that would meet their basic needs. Being a single parent of four children it was very challenging.
Especially when I had two children in pampers and on the bottle. Being a young mother in this day's society is even more challenging today due to lack of support and all the drugs that has years past you may have had a lot of support from your family or even from the grandparents.
Statistics shows that in state of Ohio we have 25 teens get pregnant from ages 15-19.
For every 1,000 women. In today's society poverty and unemployment is at an all-time high. She feels that by being able to supply them with the basic essentials, it will per say "take away some of the weights".
