Illustrated by Sarah-Leigh Wills

Part of the MR Leafy and Friends series

Paperback / softback

Description

Mr Leafy and friends is a childrens picture book that is written in rhyme and encourages children to be more mindful about the world that surrounds them. Mr Leafy is the main character and he sees; hears and feels so many things as he stands viewing the world majestically.

'Mr Leafy is a beautiful tree, a wondrous sight for all to see; he stands tall, branches swaying high in the sky, witnessing things not always noticed by you and I. Can you guess what he can see as he stands vieing the world majestically? He sees fluffy tailed rabbits hopping by and beautiful brown hares leaping high' .

Mr Leafy sees children playing in the park, experiences hugs, observes birds, feels his leaves rustle as the  squirrels scurry through; across his strong, woody branches and down his trunk too. He hears emergency vehicles passing by and observes aeroplanes and hot air ballons. He observes horses and ponies too; along with crickets and grasshoppers to name just a few.

There is a hidden bee to be found on every illustration and a list of nature related activities included at the back of the book.
