Description

This book highlights a new area in the field of laser ablation in liquid, focusing on the pseudo-line tension in liquid-phase laser ablation tension among three phases (liquid, vapour, solid) in terms of the cavitation bubble.

The cavitation bubble has interesting dynamics and a number of amazing features, such as the discharge phenomenon, which is unique to liquid-phase laser ablation.

The book reproduces the dynamics of this pseudo-line tension theoretically through solving the Rayleigh-Plesset model using a different approach, which considers the shape and occupation of the cavitation bubble and the impurity of the liquid.

It also offers insights into the role of the cavitation bubble in the growth processes of nanoparticles, and their effect on the thermal properties of the liquid.
