Susan Lewis

Susan Lewis is the bestselling author of over forty bestselling books across the genres of family drama, thriller, suspense and crime. She is also the author of Just One More Day and One Day at a Time, the moving memoirs of her childhood in Bristol during the 1960s. She lives in Gloucestershire with her husband James and mischievous dogs Coco and Lulu.

Born in Bristol in 1956, Susan’s life turned upside down at the age of nine when her mother died. After a stint at a very smart boarding school, she was expelled and returned home to her father and brother. When she turned eighteen, Susan’s career turned to the world of TV. A love of drama, combined with a fierce ambition, got her knocking on the Controller’s door to ask what steps to take to become a producer.  “Oh, go away and write something,” came the reply.  So she did.

A life in the South of France and Hollywood followed, as Susan set about completing the obstacle course of cowboy agents, big-talking producers and wannabe directors. George Clooney was her neighbour and Steve Martin was a regular on her dog walks! Romances flourished and faded, some dreams came true and others were crushed.

At the age of fifty, Susan met her Mr Right, husband James. Now residing on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, they enjoy an idyllic life and Susan follows her greatest passion – writing.
