This is the story of Betsy a Scottish traveller child. Scottish travelling folk are not Romany gypsies - although there are some links. Many have clan names and use cant a Scottish traveller language which includes variations of gaelic and old Scots words. Betsy is a true storyteller, and the book is a delight.
