The good news is, that these skills can be learned as well as tuned up, some of the most intelligent people on this earth, are the most unfulfilled and unhappy individuals in this world.  We all know someone who may academically brilliant, but when it comes to their social status, they are not successful at all, and many of them have unhealthy and toxic personal relationships.  Your intellectual ability is not enough by itself for you to achieve real success and happiness, you need to be emotionally intelligent as well, which will help to balance out your life.  You may have a high IQ, which will help you get into college, but having emotional intelligence, will be what helps you learn to manage the stress and different emotions that you have to deal with when facing the challenges of life.  It would be great to have an equal balance of both emotional intelligence as well as a high IQ, this way they will consistently build off of each other in order to make you a complete individual.
