Half-Track Vol. 1, Paperback / softback Book

Half-Track Vol. 1 Paperback / softback

Part of the Gun Power series

Paperback / softback

Description

The first volume of the monograph includes the genesis of this class of vehicles, focusing on the American struggle for functional solutions, which led to the building of the first successful vehicle - Half-Track M2.

Further part of the monograph includes a detailed technical description of the vehicle, illustrated by 3D graphics and a lot of first-time published pictures, showing the technical process of producing components and subsequent assembling of the final construction.

This is followed by descriptions of the defensive weaponry of Half-Track basic versions, i.e. a tractor and a personal carrier - cal. .30"and .50" machine guns. All non-specialized versions are presented and illustrated by five-views drawings in scale 1:35 with numerous supporting pictures.

The next chapter presents the Half-Track as an universal weapon carrier - mortars, howitzers, anti-tank and anti-aircraft guns.

The publication ends with colour plates in scale 1:35, colour pictures of museum pieces and fully operational vehicles participating in shows.

Attached insert with five-views drawing of Half-Track M16 in scale 1:16 (the same as the Trumpeter model) and three colour silhouettes in the same scale (one of them painted as the 1st Armoured Division of Polish Armed Forces in the West) will be welcomed by modellers.
