Description
Satyajit Ray directs this Bengali drama starring Chhabi Biswas and Gangapada Basu.
The film follows the story of aristocrat Huzur Biswamghar Roy (Biswas) who has recently fallen on hard times.
Roy prides himself in living a lavish lifestyle and shows off his wealth at every opportunity.
Although his assets are dwindling due to his reckless spending, Roy refuses to admit defeat and decides to sell some of his family jewels in order to throw an extravagent party in his beloved music room.
