Description

Every episode from the first season of the Japanese anime where university student Naofumi Iwatani (voice of Kaito Ishikawa), along with three other young men, enters a parallel world in which they are heroes destined to protect the citizens of the Melromarc kingdom from the Waves of Catastrophe.

Armed with only a shield, Naofumi is belittled for his lack of attacking prowess and when his only ally betrays him, he is further regarded in a wholly negative light.

As he trains alone, Naofumi grows determined to prove to the kingdom that he is a worthy hero and when he makes two purchases, a rare egg that hatches into a fighting bird he names Filo (Rina Hidaka) as well as a demi-girl named Raphtalia (Asami Seto), his luck may be about to change.
