Description
They were originally formed as the backing group for Cliff Richard, but such was the talent to be found within the group, it did not take long for them to start hankering after their own recording career. They would prove to be every bit as successful as their mentor, with the added bonus of being able to write much of their material. It is of course, under the moniker The Shadows that they achieved their greatest success, after an extremely brief spell as The Drifters. This fifteen track compilation gathers all of their early hits and would rise to number 2 on the UK album chart.
