Description
William Hartnell, Bob Monkhouse and Kenneth Williams star in this first entry in the 'Carry On' series.
As he is about to retire, Sergeant Grimshaw (Hartnell) takes a bet that the last recruits he trains will turn out to be the best platoon he's had and win the prestigious 'Star Squad' award.
However, as he operates under the watchful eyes of Captain Potts (Eric Barker) and Corporal Copping (Bill Owen), Grimshaw quickly realises he has his work cut out to transform his troupe of inept men into champion soldiers.
