Description

Norman Toker directs this American drama based on the novel by Wilson Rawls.

The film follows 12-year-old Billy Colman (Stewart Petersen), a young man who is passionate about racoon hunting and dreams of owning his own hunting dogs.

When he finally earns the money to buy two puppies, Billy's dreams start to come true as he begins training the dogs, Dan and Ann, to become competent hunters.

Billy and his dogs enter the famous local hunting competition and they become well known in the town for their impressive talent for the sport, but begin to draw the wrong kind of attention which ends in tragedy.
