This guide describes all of the Doctor's companions and allies and provides an overview of all episodes, from the very first episode in 1963 up to the first 2009 special 'Planet of the Dead'. A must-have for any Doctor Who fan.

This is a really nice book with lots of beautiful colour photographs of all of the Doctor's companions, from Susan, Ian and Barbara from 1963's "An Unearthly Child" to 2008's Donna Noble, even giving space to guest companions from the specials, such as Lady Christina from 2009's "Planet of the Dead." Each companion gets a one to four page spread with a bio re-caping their personal adventures and character development, great pictures, and a story guide. There is also a little information on the actors, their careers prior to appearing on Doctor Who and why they were chosen, or why their character was created. I was pleasantly surprised by this book and I really enjoy looking through it.
